First of all congratulations on qualifying to the world cup, now let's get this interview started

Please answer the Following Which questions may concern Egyptian fans and all who interesting in Footstar.

 

Q1: How long have you been managing Portugal NT?

I've been managing Portugal NT since day 6 of May 2015. I'm managing Portugal just for this Qualifiyng series ans WC.

Q2: Did you have any doubts about qualifying to the WC when you started your campaign?

I think that every manager should be prepared for the best and the worst, so of course I have some doubts, mainly because I didn't knew my players, and I didn't knew if they would be 100% prepared for the important games. And also because we didn't have a very easy group. Italy it's a very strong team, with an exerient manager, Malta has a very good staff and very nice DN players, and Macedonia it's almost like an Italy second team!And also Ireland and Slovakia wheren't easy as well!In another groups there where some easier teams i think.

Q3: How would you rate your chances in winning the WC?

I'm starting now to analyse the other oponents, and there are really great NT with great managers, so it will be very hard to bring the WC again to Portugal, but I believe in my players and we will do our best to get it! In the end let's see how we've done.

Q4: Which team would you nominate to win the WC?

I think that France, Denmark, Greece or Brazil have great chances to win it, but if we look a little closer there are some outsider teams like Lithuania or Qatar that have great players also and are making a great qualifying.

Q5: Which teams should we follow in this WC in your opinion?

Portugal of course! But also Singapure where I have some good friends. Maybe it will be some surprise coming from there.

Q6: What is the best moment in your history as a manager?

All of the moments are very important for me, but I remember some times when I was manager of Iceland when I won 2-4 to Faroe Islands (in season 7) and also a draw against Portugal 5-5 two months later. Those where really special moments because we where the Under dogs, and we've managed to make a draw against Portugal, and win Faroe Islands, that great team with Denmark WIC DN players.
