First of all congratulations on qualifying to the world cup, now let's get this interview started

Please answer the Following Which questions may concern Egyptian fans and all who interesting in Footstar.

 

Q1: How long have you been managing Germany NT?

I´m manager of the german NT for about 3 1/2 years now. So this will be my 4th World Cup as manager and I´m one of the oldest national team coaches in Footstar. Before becoming manager of the team, I was assistant for 3 seasons and U18-NT-coach for 5 seasons.

Q2: Did you have any doubts about qualifying to the WC when you started your campaign?

Not really. We had a strong ranking position, so there was always the possibility to qualify as third of the group too. The qualification round started good and it was quite fast sure, that we will qualify directly. But we put a high demand in ourselfs, so the goal was always to qualify as first of the group.

Q3: How would you rate your chances in winning the WC?

There are good chances, but there are many other teams on the same level. France, Portugal and Brazil are very strong and I see us in a bunch of about 10 other teams which have strong players and a good coach. If we will have a good start into the tournament and get a flow, anything is possible.

Q4: Which team would you nominate to win the WC?

Portugal or Brazil. After the loss in the last World Cup Final, I expect Brazil to have high expectations. And for Portugal it could be time to be successful again, after leaving in the quarter- or eight-final three tournaments in row they will be hot.

Q5: Which teams should we follow in this WC in your opinion?

Turkey could be a surprise. They played a great qualification and were able to win the group with Spain and Wales.

Q6: What is the best moment in your history as a manager?

The best moment was reaching the World Cup Final in World Cup 7. Unfortunately we lost it against Switzerland, but we started the tournament with low ambitions and some problems with our squad - so this was a great result.
